We are not sure that the beautiful county of Somerset requires much explanation but here at the Piggin & Wassail you are not only on the doorstep of the wonderful scenery of the Somerset levels and peace and tranquillity, but also only a short stroll into
Glastonbury town centre itself.
Fantastic shopping can be found at the Clarks village shopping centre with over 90 designer and high street brands and it is only a 5 minutes drive away.
The city of Wells is approximately a 15 minute drive away
(often referred to as the smallest city in England)
with it's stunning cathedral and historic buildings.
Our relaxing accommodation is also superbly situated for a cycle ride or a short drive to the local and renowned RSPB national nature reserve of Ham Wall and also the nature reserves of Westhay Moor & Shapwick Heath - an ornithologist and nature lovers paradise.
With the city and culture of Bath and the vast and beautiful Exmoor national park within an hours drive and the holiday and tourist destinations of Weston Super Mare and
the very scenic Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole caves are even closer.
The Glastonbury festival site is just 8 miles away from us and we are also in a fantastic location for the world renowned Somerset Carnival circuit.
